The Orange Barn has always been more than just a venue. More than just a place for celebrations, for filming, for gathering. It is a sanctuary, a place where stories are shared, where healing begins, and where new chapters of life unfold. But behind every beautifully decorated event space and every filmed moment, there is a much grander purpose.
Let me take you back to how it all began.
For years, I envisioned a space where people—especially those carrying wounds unseen, those battling their past, those searching for belonging—could come and find solace. A place where generational wounds could be addressed, where families could break cycles of pain, and where individuals could find empowerment through learning, healing, and self-discovery. That vision took root in the Orange Barn Empowerment Center, a future home for workshops, mentorship, and programs dedicated to personal growth, mental wellness, and community building.
But life has a way of testing dreams before they can take flight.
In May 2022, a devastating storm swept through our property, causing catastrophic damage to the barn—the very heart of our vision. It was heartbreaking to stand in the wreckage of what was once a place filled with so much laughter, love, and hope. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned in life, it’s that storms, no matter how fierce, cannot break the foundation of something built on love and purpose.
So, instead of seeing it as an end, we chose to see it as a beginning. A challenge to rebuild—not just the barn itself, but the dream in an even bigger way. This time, we are not just restoring; we are creating something transformational. The new Orange Barn Empowerment Center will be a beacon for those in need of healing, guidance, and empowerment. A place where people can come to learn vital life skills, engage in meaningful dialogue, and connect with a supportive community.
